DebugLearn’s web site may collect personal information such as name, email address, and crash dump file. Crash dump file in the form of a minidump (*.dmp) is a piece of saved memory from the user's computer. The crash dump file submitted by the user is necessary for the analysis of the crash dump.
In addition, email addresses are necessary to sign up for DebugLearn membership.
DebugLearn servers typically collect, at least temporarily, the following information: Internet Protocol (IP) address of computer being used; web pages requested; referring web page; browser used; date and time. DebugLearn may collect statistics identifying particular IP addresses from which our websites are accessed.
DebugLearn may use information extracted from the crash dump file such as CPU type, Windows OS version, and bug check number for the purpose of communication back to the crash dump submitter, in order to keep the user informed of crash result.
DebugLearn may use historical data collected from the dump files such as CPU type, Windows OS version, and faulted module to further improve its analysis result for future dump file submissions. This includes using the data it collected from past dump submissions for machine learning, datamining, and statistical pattern recognition.
DebugLearn may use personal information such as email address for the purpose of future communication back to registered members regarding a current or prior crash dump file submission. DebugLearn will also send an initial confirmation email for confirming registration as a member.
DebugLearn only sends DebugTips communications and offers only to those who specifically opt-in to the service and submit their emails to us for that purpose. We will not sell to, trade or share email addresses with companies or other organizations without your expressed permission.
DebugLearn may use browser-IP-address information and anonymous-browser history to report information about site accesses and for profiling purposes.
